Here are 6 TV Shows for Fans of Stranger Things if you’re missing the mystery, the setting, or just some good television!
I recently watched all four of the current seasons of Stranger Things and absolutely loved it – check out my review here.
Right, onto the list:
Yellowjackets
After a plane crash in 1996, a team of New Jersey high school girls’ football (soccer, I suppose, as they’re American) players have to survive in the wilderness. We also get the story of their current lives in 2021, but it’s their time in the wilderness that fans of Stranger Things will love!
I Am Not Okay With This
Based on a graphic novel, which is also brilliant, I Am Not Okay With This, is a brilliant series on Netflix that gives off big Carrie vibes. With the tone and atmosphere of a Stephen King story, you’re sure to like this one.
The OA
The OA is a weird one! I can’t say I understood what was going on the first time though, but after a rewatch I can confirm that it’s incredible! It’s the mystery of this series that will keep you hooked.
American Horror Story: 1984
This is on this list because it’s set in the 80s, so if you’re after a horror with nostalgic vibes, this season of American Horror Story is for you. It’s based on the classic slasher films like Halloween and Friday the 13th.
Sense8
Another mystery-based series, but the cast of characters in Sense8 are incredible. If you’re looking for a team of people who don’t know each other coming together to solve a mystery, then look no further!
Black Mirror
You have definitely heard of this, if not watched it already, but I wanted to put it on this list just in case. It’s a fantastic anthology series that will make you terrified of the possibilities of technology and what we might do with it.
