Secret Invasion Episode 5 Ending Explained

Here is our breakdown of Secret Invasion Episode 5.

Episode 5 of Nick Fury’s solo series sets us up for an exciting conclusion to the series. There have been lots of secrets, backstabbing, and twists; pretty much what we expected from a spy show, right?

This episode follows on from Talos’ tragic death, leaving his daughter, G’iah, and Fury left to try and make sure his death was not in vain.

Fury doesn’t get up to much until the latter part of the episode, as he’s too busy trying not to get arrested for the murder of Maria Hill (who was actually killed by Gravik, who had shapeshifted into Fury before pulling the trigger). But he eventually meets up with one of his last remaining allies, Sonya Falsworth, and prepares for a final battle with Gravik.

What is The Harvest and Why Does Fury Have it?

The Harvest is a collection of DNA from the Avengers (blood, etc), including Carol Danvers, that was removed from the battleground after the Battle of Earth in Avengers: Endgame

We don’t yet know for certain why Fury decided to keep these samples of DNA, as they could be used for great evil. It could be because after he saw how helpless they all were against Thanos, he wanted a backup plan. It’s what spies do. Perhaps we will learn more in the finale.

Fury collects The Harvest from one of his gravestones in Finland at the end of the episode, but why remove it? What is he going to do with it?
