Our list of All The Hunger Games Books Ranked, According to Goodreads.

The Hunger Games

The Hunger Games Books Ranked

Goodreads Rating: 4.33

The first and most loved book in The Hunger Games series. This is the one where the main premise is first explored, and it is done in a concise way without any plot holes and meaningless twists.

Catching Fire

The Hunger Games Books Ranked

Goodreads Rating: 4.31

Definitely suffering from a little bit of middle-book-syndrome, Catching Fire struggles to live up to the greatness of book 1, but that doesn’t mean it is a bad book. These Goodreads ratings show that actually it does a pretty good job of telling an engaging story, even if it’s not as good as The Hunger Games.

Mockingjay

Goodreads Rating: 4.07

This was always a trilogy that was going to be difficult to finish in a satisfying way. Mockingjay is the best that could have been done with the story, considering all the plot threads and character arcs that needed to be completed in one book.

The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes

The Hunger Games Books Ranked

Goodreads Rating: 3.85

This is the prequel no one asked for, but it’s not hated by everyone. This star rating is still pretty reasonable on Goodreads, so it might not be the most loved of the four books, but it is still enjoyable to a good portion of readers.
