For a 12-hour period, people can commit any crime without legal consequences. The movies and TV show follow different characters and purge nights.

Which Movies to Watch First

Don’t start with the original movie from 2013. It’s not a terrible movie, it’s just not the best version of the brilliant concept. I would suggest you watch The Purge: Anarchy (2014) first and then continue through to the latest release.

Then, watch the TV series. If you’re still interested, watch the 2013 movie last. But, honestly, you can skip it completely.
