Overview

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise is a series of very gory slasher movies that follows the story of the cannibalistic Sawyer family as they terrorize and kill their victims. These movies have a lot of brutal violence, so these aren’t for the faint of heart! And we can’t forget the drawing factor of these movies: Leatherface!

Which Movies to Watch First

There are plenty of places to begin with these movies, but I would suggest either starting with the original, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974), or The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003). Both are great starting places for beginners. I would lean more towards starting with the 1974 movie and watching the rest in release date order, though.
