One for All by Lillie Lainoff: Book Review

Spoiler-Free One for All Book Review

I was lucky enough to receive a copy of One for All  by Lillie Lainoff from the publisher over on Netgalley and I had an amazing time with this genderbent retelling of The Three Musketeers.

One for All will be released in the UK on February 7th 2023.

One for All Book Review

Tania is a Fantastic Character

It’s refreshing to see an OwnVoices main character (POTS representation) in One for All.

Tania is a fiercely brave, loyal character who is full of heart. I love her and wish I could have spent more time in this book alongside her and her group of friends.

The friendships are beautiful! I love a found-family in a story, like in Legends & Lattes by Travis Baldree, and this one was so enjoyable.

A Wonderful Addition to The Three Musketeers Lore

The plot was slightly slow at times, but in general the pacing was good. I felt like I was reading this mostly for the characters though, rather than the plot.

That isn’t a bad thing though! And it isn’t to say the plot was bad either. The story (uncovering an assassination plot!) was good, very good, and what kept me turning the pages was Tania and her found family at the heart of it all.
