Review of Silver in the Bone by Alexandra Bracken

Silver in the Bone is an enjoyable YA fantasy book inspired by Arthurian legends. This probably won’t be a series I continue with, but not because the book was bad, just because I’m picky with YA fantasy and I’m happy with the story I got from this book – I don’t need more.

The plot and mystery were cool; super intriguing! I loved some of the elements of this book, like the Hollowers. Travelling through portals to find mystical artefacts? Just the sort of thing I want to read about!

For a YA fantasy the tone is pretty dark throughout, with relatively high stakes, so don’t brush it aside if you think YA isn’t your thing.
