Which Movies to Watch First

If you’re new to the Evil Dead franchise, you might be wondering where to start. The first movie in the series, The Evil Dead (1981), is a great introduction to the deadites. It introduces the basic premise of the franchise and sets the tone for the rest of the series.

Beginner’s Guide to the Evil Dead Franchise

From there, you can move on to Evil Dead II (1987),Army of Darkness (1993), and the TV series Ash vs Evil Dead, which continue the story of Ash and his ongoing battle against the forces of evil.

Alternatively, you could watch either the remake, Evil Dead (2013), or the latest entry to the franchise, Evil Dead Rise (2023), as standalones. These won’t spoil anything for the story with Ash.
