Maddy‘s Review of Blood Debts by Terry J. Benton-Walker

Thank you Macmillan audio and Netgalley for letting me read and review this book! I got the ebook and audiobook version. I love the audiobook so much! The narrators do an awesome job and really pull you into the story. There’s magic, intergenerational curses, a 30 year old murder mystery, and a queen whose crown and reign got stolen.

Review of Blood Debts by Terry J. Benton-Walker

Terry has a great writing style and an intriguing story. The characters are great, especially Christina, Clem, Ursula, and Eve. Some of the characters I loved to hate. The build up to the end of the book was great. I was intrigued most of the time and couldn’t put down the book.

Some of the conversations throughout the book are a bit basic and cliche, and I wish we had more time with characters. Other than these two things I really enjoyed Blood Debts.

There are a couple twists that happened I was surprised by. Terry does a great job with the world building and I felt like I was there along with Clem and Chris. The character arcs are good, and some of them are relatable. There are a few triggers you should look up before reading the book.
