February Wrap-Up & March TBR - 2024 - The Fantasy Review

February Wrap-Up & March TBR – 2024

The Fantasy Review’s February Wrap-Up & March TBR – 2024.

I had an alright reading month in February this year, finishing four books:

It felt great to have a reading month where I enjoyed every book and felt excited to write a review about them. I am trying to read more science fiction, however my March TBR for 2024 is all fantasy!

March TBR – 2024

Rise of Empire & Heir of Novron by Michael J. Sullivan

February Wrap-Up & March TBR - 2024

These are the final two volumes in The Riyria Revelations fantasy series by Michael J. Sullivan. I have interviewed the author in the past and always had these books staring at me on the shelves, so I am finally getting to them! I’ll definitely be finishing both of these this month, and am currently 25% through Rise of Empire.

King of Thorns & Emperor of Thorns by Mark Lawrence

February Wrap-Up & March TBR - 2024

The Broken Empire trilogy is yet another series that has been staring at me for ages, especially after interviewing Mark Lawrence! Prince of Thorns only took a few nights of reading as they are quick books with a fast-paced writing style, so I will also be completing this trilogy for certain this month.

Long Past Dues by James J. Butcher

February Wrap-Up & March TBR - 2024

I absolutely loved Dead Man’s Hand, which is the first book in James J. Butcher’s The Unorthodox Chronicles urban fantasy series, and pre-ordered Long Past Dues, but still haven’t read it, so it is a priority this month. The third book has been announced for October 2024, so I want to be caught up well before that.

The Forgetting Moon by Brian Lee Durfee

February Wrap-Up & March TBR - 2024

Brian Lee Durfee’s The Five Warrior Angels epic fantasy trilogy has been on my radar for a while and I want something deep and dark to sink my teeth into. This series looks incredible and seems to receive nothing but praise from reviewers, so I am excited for this. As it’s so long, I might start it in March and finish it in April, we’ll see.

The Black Coast by Mike Brooks

Finally, another trilogy I have been meaning to get to for a while is The God-King Chronicles by Mike Brooks. I have an interview with the author on The Fantasy Review, and feel like it is about time I dived right into this, which, much like The Forgetting Moon, seems to be another underrated gem I’ve been missing out on!

Reading Order for My March TBR 2024:

  1. Rise of Empire by Michael J. Sullivan
  2. The Forgetting Moon by Brian Lee Durfee
  3. King of Thorns by Mark Lawrence
  4. Long Past Dues by James J. Butcher
  5. Emperor of Thorns by Mark Lawrence
  6. The Black Coast by Mike Brooks
  7. Heir of Novron by Michael J. Sullivan
