The Dresden Files Books in Order

Having recently completed Battle Ground, book 17 and the most recent entry in The Dresden Files series by Jim Butcher, I figured it was a good time to write up the reading order. So, here is a list of all the Dresden Files books in order.

This list all the main books in the series and the collections of short stories too, plus a novella!

(Numbering relates to the publication order)

The Dresden Files Books in Order (Chronological)

Although most of the books in The Dresden Files are pretty good standalones, I would suggest reading them in order as there are a lot of spoilers, especially the further into the series you get.

This includes the short stories, but you can skip these if you want and come back to them once you have finished the series. Just make sure you don’t read them out of order in case of spoilers.
